Myfashdiary experiences... The Croc Effect manicure @ Sisters beauty lounge, Dubai.

I recently visited one of my favorite beauty salons, Sisters beauty lounge in Dubai to try out their spankin’ brand new manicure, The Croc effect… another cool manicure by Ciate (Remember the caviar, velvet manicures?) I still find it quite interesting how the beauty salon uses brazilian keratin on hands and feet instead of water for their manicures and pedicures… the new way forward.

Out of the other two manicures I’ve tried by Ciate, this has got to be the least messiest one as well as the more practical one. They had three colors – a black, a dark red and a purple for the croc effect. After you choose your main color, you end up picking your base to create that effect. I went for the graphite one, rather than the gold one as I thought it might give off a better effect. They start with your metallic base, allowing a few minutes for it to dry gently, and then finishing it off with the main color (mine was black).

I was really impressed with this manicure… not only did it look super cool (I had people stop me to ask where I got my nails), it’s also quite subtle compared to the caviar and extravagant nail art. The thing that impressed me the most? It did not chip… I had to remove them because my nail was growing, yet the ends were still perfect by the time I had my next manicure.
